About Tina Fey

Elizabeth Stamatina Fey was born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, just west of Philadelphia, in 1970 to Donald and Jeannec Fey. Going by the name of Tina, Ms. Fey considered herself a “supernerd” during her high school and college years. She studied drama at the University of Virginia, and after graduating in 1992, she headed to Chicago, the ancestral home of American comedy. While working at a YMCA to support herself, she started Second City’s first set of courses. After about nine months, a teacher told her to just skip ahead and audition for the more selective Second City Training Center. She failed but about eight weeks later, she re-auditioned and got into the year-long program. She ended up spending many years at The Second City in Chicago where many SNL cast members first started out. Then in 1995, “Saturday Night Live” (1975) came to The Second City’s cast, including Fey’s friend, Adam McKay, as a writer, searching for new talent. What they found was Tina Fey. When Adam was made Head writer, he suggested Fey should send a submission packet over the summer with six sketches, 10 pages each. Tina took the advice and sent them. After Lorne Michaels met her and saw her work she was offered a job a week later. She admitted that she was extremely nervous working in the legendary Studio 8H; being a foot shorter than everyone else, younger, and being one of the only female writers at the time. After a few years, Tina made history by becoming the first female head writer in the show’s history. Tina also made her screen debut as a featured player during the 25th season by co-anchoring Weekend Update with Jimmy Fallon. Since Tina and Jimmy have taken over Weekend Update it has been considered the best ever. This year she made it to full fledged star by becoming a regular cast member, though she is hardly on the show, besides Update. And during the past two summers, Tina and Rachel Dratch performed their two-woman show to critical acclaim in both Chicago (1999) and New York (2000) and made their Aspen Comedy Festival Debut. Tina is married to Jeff Richmond, a Second City director and currently lives in New York City.

Mini Biography of Kelly Reilly

Kelly Reilly was born in July 18, 1977 in Chessington, her father was in the police and her mother was a part-time secretary at Kingston Hospital and she attended Tolworth Girls’ School where she became interested in drama – though she never did go to drama school.
Inspired to seek acting work beyond school, she wrote to the producers of the television drama Prime Suspect and six months later was granted and won the audition, for a role in an episode of Prime Suspect (Prime Suspect 4: Inner Circle), which aired on ITV on May 7, 1995, she was then seventeen. Six years later, on the cast of Last Orders with Helen Mirren where they met once more, Mirren said,”Oh I knew I’d see you again.”
Her first professional role was followed by a series of parts on the English stage. She worked with Terry Johnson in four productions, Elton John’s Glasses (1997), The London Cuckolds (1998), The Graduate (2000) and Piano/Forte (2001). Johnson wrote Piano/Forte for her and said “Kelly is possibly the most natural, dyed-in-the-wool, deep-in-the-bone actress I’ve ever worked with. She is utterly instinctive, and she seems to know absolutely what it is to be human.” Patrick Marber, her director in After Miss Julie (2004) said, “Not only is she utterly instinctual but she is also totally honest. She inhabits a part without any mannerism at all, to the extent that you don’t even notice her act.” Despite this enthusiasm, Reilly herself has stated that she learned the most as an actor from Karel Reisz who directed her in The Yalta Game in Dublin (2001). She said, “He was my masterclass. There is no way I would have been able to do Miss Julie if I hadn’t done that play.”
Salma Hayek in Grown Ups

The amazing Salma Hayek was born on September 2, 1966, in the oil boomtown of Coatzacoalcos, Mexico. Hayek has freely admitted that she and her brother, Sami, were spoiled rotten by her well-to-do Lebanese-Mexican businessman father and her Mexican-born opera-singing mother.
At long last, Salma made her way to Los Angeles. The 24 year old actress approached Hollywood with naïve enthusiasm, and quickly learned that Latin actresses were, if at all, typecast as the mistress maid or local prostitute. By late 1992, Hayek had landed only bit parts. She appeared on “Street Justice” (1991), “The Sinbad Show” (1993), “Nurses” (1991), and as a sexy maid on the HBO series “Dream On” (1990). She also had one line in the Allison Anders film Mi vida loca (1993). Feeling under-appreciated by Anglo filmmakers, Hayek vented her frustrations on comedian Paul Rodriguez’s late-night Spanish-language talk show in 1992.
She remains one of the most hardworking actresses in Hollywood. New films include a high profile classic-style western comedy, Bandidas (2006), co-starring pal Penélope Cruz, with whom she has been friends for years. They play two bank robbers becoming Mexico’s Thelma and Louise. Another of her new films is the highly anticipated Ask the Dust (2006) directed by the brilliant Robert Towne.
In Columbia Pictures’ new comedy Grown Ups, the filmmakers found a trio of extremely talented women to play the guys’ better halves. “Salma Hayek, Maria Bello and Maya Rudolph are all really excellent actresses and comediennes,” says director Dennis Dugan. “When the girls have their scenes together, it’s a very different kind of comedy than what’s going on with the guys. A movie needs that kind of change of pace, and these women, all incredible talents, gave us that.”

Ashley was then pursued by The Ford Modeling Agency at the age of 8. She worked steadily in print and is still with the Agency. At the age of 10, she wanted to pursue acting. Ashley went on to do 35 commercials, and then on to theatrical roles. Acting was now Ashley’s passion. Ashley put all her focus into acting which left little time for modeling and dancing, anymore. Ashley’s most recent role is “Abby Deveraux” on the hit soap “Days of Our Lives” (1965). Ashley also had a cameo in ‘Lil Romeo’ and Solange Knowles’s music video for the song “True Love”. Private Practice Promotes Caterina Scorsone to Series Regular
Private Practice has promoted Caterina Scorsone to series regular, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
“It’s so fantastic for so many reasons,” Scorsone, who plays Dr. Amelia Shepherd, sister to Grey’s Anatomy’s Derek (Patrick Dempsey), tells TVGuide.com of her promotion. “The set is really a wonderful environment. Everyone is generous and fantastic, so to know that’s going to be my home for a while is pretty nice.”
Amelia was introduced late last season, when she clashed with the Oceanside Wellness docs over whether she could save one of their patient’s lives. “She’s very complex,” says Scorsone, who actually went to medical school before deciding she’d rather play a doctor than be a doctor. “She inspires a whole rainbow of emotions in all the people around her. She’s lovable and annoying at the same time,” Scorsone says. “She’s also tough and fragile at the same time.”
Though she plays Derek’s sister, Scorsone has yet to work with Dempsey, but is itching to do so. “It is a little bit intimidating, knowing how passionate people are, wanting to honor their expectations in the relationship with Derek, who is so deeply a part of people’s emotional journey on this show.”
Executive producer Shonda Rhimes told TVGuide.com earlier this year that the writers were already discussing a Shepherd-centric crossover. “We’ve absolutely been talking about that,” adds Scorsone. “Based on the history we’ve already established between Amelia and Derek, there definitely has to be some sort of encounter at some point.”
As for the Season 4 premiere of Private, which the cast is currently shooting, Scorsone says the story will jump ahead a few weeks from Dell’s death. “Everyone’s had a little time to process and grieve,” she says.

Born in Shoreham, England and raised in Australia, Naomi Watts has been working actively in the film industry for 15 years. After she moved to Hollywood, she worked regularly, acting in small roles in film projects she was less than enthusiastic about. Finally, her big break came when she was contacted to audition for a coveted spot in David Lynch’s Mulholland Dr. (2001). Her star-turning performance in the dual role of Betty Elms/Diane Selwyn has garnered an array of critic’s awards and the attention of some major players in Hollywood and beyond. Watts is now enjoying greater choice of film roles and played (with great success)the lead in Gore Verbinski’s remake of the Japanese horror classic The Ring (2002/I). She also starred opposite Kate Hudson in Merchant/Ivory’s adaptation of the Diane Johnson novel Le divorce (2003). Subsequently, Watts’ creative acting abilities have continued to grow and deepen. She has been cast in an array of films with only the best directors and actors and continues to stun critics and amaze filmgoers with her versatility and range.
